We received the roll out for the direct deposit to be optional rather than required. We love this feature because not every person onboarding will use direct deposit. However, the attachment for the Optional direct deposit is still being required. Not all employees will have an attachment We use PreNote for this process and do not require attachments. Can you make the attachment be an option but not required on the optional submission.

I'm fully onboard with making this an option. As it is now it stops employees in their tracks from being able to sign up for direct deposit at the time of onboarding.
We really need this attachment to be optional during onboarding!!! Any updates that can be provided??
I'm with Vaughn on this. There is already a related setting, Personal Information > Direct Deposit Configuration > Require an attachment for changing direct deposit information. That setting should apply to onboarding as well.
It would have to be an option. Because my Payroll department does not want to set up any direct deposit without a printed backup of the account numbers. No back up means not direct deposit set up for us.
One wrong account number and dealing with the aftermath and it became our company policy. Offical printed backup or no set up. So we like the current settings but can see where you may want that option.
