One of the resons we use VIsta is its ability to support multiple companies. It would be nice if the portall also fully supported multiple companies.

Thank you, Mark! I had not thought about using employee groups to define companies, but that will work. I know that we have the option for using "Direct Company Login URL (bypasses company selection on login page)", but that does not allow you to change the branding. We have run into the same type of issues with other modules.

This feature already exists. Admin > Portal Settings > Document Library > Enable Employee Group Restrictions for Company Announcements
This will allow you to make all announcements employee group specific :)
