Through Vista, we use the .01 number at the end of our phase codes to signal that it is a labor only phase code. But when we pull up the phase codes in Vista it shows ALL phase codes associated with that job.

Well,
I found the answer to my other question..I looked at the pictures instead of the actual directions. Now, at the bottom when I am trying to create my Phase Lookup like I did my EarnCode lookup, it says “ Follow the steps in Part to connect the lookup to the timecard.” Well.. It doesn’t tell you the specific descriptions that you need to put in there to get it to go through..I’m in the timecard trying to enter in the information for the Field Properties.. but the pictures and directions are only for EC ‘Earn Codes’ I have put in every lookup description that I could udFilteredJP and anything else like that but it won’t go through.
Can you guys get your SOP’s dummy checked? lol

Michael,
I am attempting to do the ‘creating ud Lookups in vista for Keystyle timecard entry. I click on the link that you provided below and I begin to follow the instructions but after I enter in the lookup Title it asks me to fill in a lookup from, and I’m not sure what to put in that blank. I push the F4 button, but I’m not sure what to put in there or whether it needs to be specific for this function to work. Can you elaborate?
Thank you,
Brittany A. Sanders, SHRM-CP

Hi team,
Our timecard solution supports user defined lookups to allow only the phases you desire to show to show up. This article gives a few examples including one for labor only phase code: http://keystyledata.com/kb/#KB/EmployeeSelfService/Timecards/Changing_Dropdown_Lists.htm?Highlight=lookup
If you need any assistance creating your lookup, please contact professional services.
Cheers
I think it would be great to have a checkbox on phases to include them in time entry. It would make it simple to exclude them.
We have phase codes that are for purchasing only and no labor is to be charged. If time is entered on those phase codes we get errors running payroll that add additional time to the payroll run.
We would also like to have only phase codes that have the Labor Cost Type pull up in Time Card Entry. This makes it difficult because the phase doesn't error out until we try and run the Ledger Update. Then, we have to go back and fix all of the phases that are incorrect/
