Currently there is only 1 spot to update information in the portal and that is for a home phone. I'd like to see an option to specifically update the cell phone number and opt in for text messages. We could use these text messages to alert employees there is a new benefit window, memo posted, etc. Many of our employee rarely check e-mail so the notice gets lost and I have to chase down employees that have not completed required tasks. A text would at least alert them that they need to log in, but first they need to be able to update their mobile number and enroll in text alerts.

Cell phones are the major communication pathway to get in touch with our associates. This is necessary to be a viable company in today's times.
Totally agree. This is desperately behind the times - many people don't even keep home phone numbers any more. So, the problem is complicate by people putting their cell phone in the home phone field in Personal Info edits.
