In order to zero out a time entry when reviewing time in Job Time Approval, the reviewer must reject the entry by the employee and have them resubmit with a zero for that day. If the reviewer tries to make that change in Job Time Approval it does not save.

Hi, Is there any progress on this?
But if the code doesn't have any hours, why the audit trail? So on a paper timecard a pm moves time to another code, we don't record that? We would really like to see this functionality. What is happening is we have "write in codes" so let's say someone has 5 "write in codes" and it really should all go to one code. The pm is left with a mess trying to get rid of the other 4 lines that are not being used, and they can't submit them with zero's because it makes a duplicate line.
Hi Amy,
The reason for the architecture is that a submitted line needs an audit trail. If the line is deleted, the trail dies with it. For payroll audits, we need to see the 0 line in order to know that the line was switched from one set of hour to another.
We have the submit zero lines checked and we can submit zero hour lines. Wouldn't it just be easier to delete it though? We use a lot of codes as it is so having less codes to clutter up the timecard entry would be nice. It's a little awkward to change to zero and submit vs just deleting it out. People give me pretty strange looks when I tell them that's what they need to do :)
Hi Amy, job approval should allow hours to be turned to 0. Can you explain the issue.
This is very cumbersome when reviewing job time. Rejecting and resubmitting takes take time and energy that would be alleviated if the approver could just delete.
