Direct deposits have recently been added to the profile selection of the Hiring process builder. This is currently a required field, but not all employees will decide to use Direct Deposit nor will each employee have an attachment to add since we use PreNote. Adding this as an optional field will allow the employee to make that choice and avoid issues when attempting to onboard an employee. Currently if the direct deposit field is incomplete the user is unable to submit their onboarding profile to HR for review.

Yes. Definitely need it to be optional and have the option to add an image or not. I like the idea of adding a box that says something like "I do not wish to enroll at this time. I understand it will be my responsibility to add and maintain my ACH information in the future."
Our CBA requires us to give the option of using direct deposit or not. Using this feature as it is now, does not allow that option. I think either way would work but the portal option would likely be best if other employers REQUIRE their employees to use DD unlike us, then the field cannot be skipped over.
I think we should have the option to make it optional. It should be a portal setting as some employers required direct deposit.
Even adding a simple "I do not wish to use direct deposit. Send me a paper check." would be sufficient enough if it cleared out the fields that were required when being used. This would additionally add a form of acknowledgement that they do not want to use direct deposit.
