Batch Approval for Invoices

A user may have multiple charges - ie Uber charges - that will all fall into the same GL/Phase-CT and, so long as the value isn't extraordinary, all of those items can be handled together. Also, in our case our approvers are coding them as well so there's a lot of redundancy of work. It would be a great time savings to not have to click Approve, wait for loading, click approve, wait, click, wait. 

An added bonus to this would be if this functionality could be controlled by an Employee Group. The double-edged sword on this is the risk of users who will Select all>Approve without properly reviewing.

    As a PM in charge of over $500M in projects, I am strongly in favor of the Batch Approval functionality,

    • There is little difference between the current Vista list view and what I am proposing on the web interface.  Both show the Vendor, Job #, Phase Code, Amount.  In Vista, there is no requirement to go in and view any further details.  In Vista, the Approver can click down the list as fast (or as slowly!) as the response latency will let them.  
    • The slow Vista UI Queue response is frustrating to many users, waiting for the screen to update.  Digging into any given invoice is seen as just adding time to an already frustrating task.
    • If via the Web Interface, the Approver could check-off all the obvious & properly-coded & small dollar invoices quickly, I think Approvers would be much more willing to spend time looking into large $$, maybe not coded correctly invoices.  Given the web interface’s easy viewing of the actual invoice, this further investigation becomes easy & effective as well, reinforcing the interest in spending time on things that matter.
    • PMs and Superintendents are responsible for their jobs.  We should trust their judgement on where to spend their time and attention.
