Correct glitch that allows override of Job/Phase ud Lookup

We have a lookup that restricts job time coding to only active phases on the selected job (that have the appropriate CT). If a user adds an additional row after coding the first one, it copies the coding to the new line. The job (or even earn code) can now be changed on the new line to one that should not be allowed (and would normally be prohibited by the lookup).
This could potentially be fixed by a portal setting that would 'wipe' job coding when a new Grid TC row is created.

    Hi Matt,

If you have custom lookup logic, you shouldn't be using any of the new line behavior options since the lookup magic doesn't work until you begin searching for a value in a specific field. If you remove the new line behavior, does adding a new timecard line work as expected?

    Thanks!

I see that now, I was looking in the portal settings.

It's probably still worth looking into the fact that the grid TC allows for coding that's disallowed by the lookup that we have set up in udLookups (I can show you where if you need more detail)

    Hi Matt,

The behavior for Job and phase coding that is copied to new grid timecard lines can actually be adjusted on the Grid Timecard Settings page > New Line Behavior. If this is set to Previous Value, it will copy the previous lines job. What kind of lookup are you using for job?

    Thank you
