It came to my attention before launching the billing compiler module for our company that users could compile invoices from any job. We would like the billing compiler to either utilize the Vista job security or have an area where we can restrict job access by user.

It should restrict all jobs list in the portal, but will also affect all users so it might not be the best option for you. If you don't think it will cause undesired behavior in other areas of the portal, I'd recommned trying it to see if it works the way you expect.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have not tried that. According to the documentation for that option, the notes state that is restricts job access by for timecards. Unsure if this applies to the billing compiler as well.

Are you currently using the Admin >Portal Settings > Security / Login > Data Security > Job Data Security Mode (0 - Off, 1 - On, fail open, 2 - On, fail closed, 3 - On, use allocations only, no VP) option to restrict jobs in the portal to a users Vista data security?
