The permission to approve and create pending POs is applied at the same time, but we run a centralized purchasing dept. Most users can see and approve pending POs, but not create. That creation could be limited to the PO admins group.

Dear Viewpoint Suggestion Box contributor;
We at Viewpoint sincerely thank you for your contribution to Suggestion Box on how we can improve Viewpoint products. While we can’t do everything at once, we rely upon your feedback to help guide the prioritization of our product improvements, and Suggestion Box is a critical tool for us to understand and prioritize our customers’ needs.
Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.

We have the same senario as above. We have centralized purchasing and do not want PO approvers to have access to create POs. Having these functions separately assigned would help our internal control structure and SOX compliance. This is a high priority item for our auditors both internal and external.
Agree. This is also a challenge for us. We do not want the users that approve purchase orders to have the ability to create them also.
