Grid Timecard Clone (No Hours) - Zero Hour Value in Start Break Stop Time Columns

Behavior 1) Currently, the Grid Timecard Add new row (green button) generates an empty row with blank cell values for all rows added until completely saved or persisted if it is a blank new Grid Timecard.

Behavior 2) Compare this same behavior to the "Actions" button > Clone > Clone Grid Timecard pop-up window > "Clone (No Hours)" button. Using the Clone process creates all rows with "0.00" across all cells - so zero value instead of empty null value.

The problem with the second workflow above is that, visually-speaking, the end-user from our Payroll Dept. is then required to scan and determine if the zero value is valid, or should it be standard "8.00" hours? This is tedious with a large Grid Timecard.

From a workflow perspective, we think this comes down to adding another interactive step to help make the above actions consistent - prompting to ask the end-user if "No Hours" should populate cells with zero or leave as empty. This could also potentially be a new Portal setting I would think.

From a data entry speed perspective, we feel the Portal application behavior is inconsistent in this area, so we are asking if the Viewpoint Portal Product Team might consider revisiting the two above mentioned workflows.

From a data entry validation perspective, perhaps highlighting rows & columns as a form of indirect validation to draw the users attention could also be a solution.

Attaching a before and after view of the Cloned rows as well as what happens from "Row +" green button.
