Leave Codes made inactive in Vista should not appear in Employee Portal

Now that we have the option to make the employee's leave code inactive in Vista, when a leave code is inactive and has a balance of 0, it should not appear in the time off section of the employee portal.

Leave codes that are inactive for some are still being used by others, so we cannot use the Exclude Leave Code option. It would be much better if the code is inactive on the employee leave to have it not show.

Great Idea! I would love to see this implemented.

It would be much less confusing for users if we could eliminate showing the Inactive leave codes on the time off request page in the portal as well as ensure they use the correct code when requesting leave. Thank you!

    Hi Emmanuel,

The recommended way of doing this is selecting the inactive frequency code on each of those PR Leave Code records for those employees based on the "Exclude Leave Codes with the following frequency code" portal setting. I'll have my team look into also supporting the active checkbox.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mark,

Thank you for the fast response.

For additional context, our company uses different vacation leave codes based on the roles (Salary, Hourly, Manager, Director etc..). So when a individual is promoted from manager to director for example, the vacation leave code is changed. We therefore de-activate the old leave code.

Our current work around is to change the eligibility date on the old leave code. But now that we have the active/inactive check box it would make sense to link that to the portal in my opinion.

    Hi Emmanuel,

In the portal, this is currently controlled in the "Extended Leave Code Configuration" and the "Exclude Leave Codes with the following frequency code" portal settings.

I'll have our team look into supporting Vista's active checkbox as well.

    Thanks!
