Because the Equipment Code and the Equipment Description are in one column, the only available sort is ID. As items on a jobsite or in a trailer are not in asset tag order, this sort doesn't help when doing inventory. Also asset tags frequently get lost, so this reference is not so helpful in the field. With these columns separated, it provides an additional sort/filter and way to narrow down results on the Equipment Dashboard. As some jobsites/trailers have 100s of items, this is extremely helpful.

Just following up on this. Any hope of splitting equipment code and equipment description into separate columns on dashboard? See attached. This is one of numerous pages of wrenches in our toolup category. While we can use the search bar to filter by "wrench," we cannot sort by wrench description, which is how wrenches are stored on trailer, so that we can work through inventory. The bar code sticker does not last on many hand tools, so the equipment code is not so helpful. Let me know if you have questions or I can provide more info to bolster our case.
Hey Michael - This has become more critical since we're doing tool inventories in the portal. Trailers have hundreds of items, many of the same thing. Without being able to sort by description, we cannot group like items through a sort and then use the search bar as an additional filter. (Going to submit separate idea for column chooser or additional columns on Equipment Dashboard to allow display of Make, Model and Serial #. Would also facilitate the tool inventory process.)
