Open Enrollment is much more complex than a normal Life Event. We would like to be able to fully customize the Open Enrollment process including the steps. We find that including tax withholdings and direct deposit distract from our main goal, which is benefits education and enrollment. We would also like to customize what benefits we pull into Open Enrollment. We don't always want to include all of the same benefits into Open Enrollment that we include in Life Events or vice versa.

I agree with this. Open Enrollment is the time for strictly benefits election. Adding these items to review frustrates our employees.
