Ability to enter Shift for an individual Time Entry in the Field Management mobile app

We are a Union shop. We have employees who work multiple shifts in the same day. Their pay for the hours worked is based on the shift they work. In the mobile app, you set the shift for the employee for the week. To address this, a note has to be added to time entry to tell Payroll to unsubmit the time so that the shift can be changed in the Grid Timecard. This is very unproductive.

    Mark,

I created a new one to keep things clean. https://keystyle.ideas.aha.io/ideas/KDS-I-2328?utm_source=idea_mailer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=submitted_idea

You can mark this one as already supported.

    Thanks Mark.

    Hey Dave,

You can re-use this suggestion if you would like or create another one.

    Thanks!

    Mark,

I have verified that does work. I see the two entries for the employee for the same day with a different Shift in the Timecard Dashboard. However, the Shift does not show on the Review Report that the Foreman would be using to verify their entries. I will look to see if there is a suggestion for this and if not, create a new suggestion for this.

    Hi Dave,

If you are changing the shift of an employee throughout the same day or timecard, in the Edit Line Details section, you will need to click the Add button instead of the save button. This will add a separate line for the new shift. Here's a screenshot:

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Mark,

We need it editable for each time entry. Here is the example. A teamster's normal day is from 8 - 4:30 which is shift 1. Shift 2 starts at 4:30. They come in at 12:00 PM and work to 7:30 PM. They would have 4.5 hours in Shift 1 and 3 in Shift 2. There are two time entries and the shift is different for each one. They are paid a different rate for shift 1 and shift 2. If you change the shift, it changes for both entries.

    Hi Dave,

The shift should be editable per employee per day in the Field Management Mobile app. Each timecard in the app is specific to each day. Are you seeing something different in your app?

    Thanks!
