We like the idea of making the user have to choose the pay period, because we often get users submit time sheets to the wrong week because they submit to the default pay period (which is usually not the correct one). This portal setting helps correct that, but also makes them choose a Grid Template as well...since we only have one Grid Template, it adds an unnecessary and redundant function they'd have to do each time and our users have expressed great disdain for having to do that. Can this be separated out into two separate portal settings where we can have it select a default Template (i.e. our only one), but make them choose the Pay Period?

Hi Garrett,
I think we have an advanced portal setting that might help even more. Do you currently have "Auto-Select Pay Period Based on Current Date" enabled in your portal?
Allows the Pay Period to always default to the current pay period (the pay period with today's date in it) on Timecard, Grid Timecard, Timecard Approval, Job Approval and the Timecard Dashboard.
If not enabled, the payperiod will default to the oldest open payperiod with a batch opened in the portal.
Please let me know what you think and if this meets your needs!
