Support User Defined Fields in Field Management Mobile

We have a few customized fields, one is critical to Billing.

  1. We submit our timecards daily

  2. Move the approved time to a different batch in Vista

  3. Post and run a number of payroll processes including PR Ledger update to update Job Costs

We can't use the Mobile app because the custom field we are using for Billing is not included.

We need offline capability because of the remoteness of some of our field sites.

When can you make this happen?

Whatever the Vista Timecard Entry Form sees, the Mobile App should see.

We're on App v21.2.0.454

Portal version 1.21.1.913

    Hi Richard,

Here's an example of what migrating to the standard Field ticket fields will allow you to do in Vista:

Please let me know if you have any questions!

    Hello Mark:
I had a conversation about whether or not we’d be migrating to the Standard
Field Ticket as opposed to our custom one with folks here just recently and
it doesn’t look like we’d be making that move in the near future. I’m
thinking not for a year or two at the very least.

    Thanks

    Hi Richard,

It is on our roadmap to allow time entry to Field Tickets via the FM Mobile app. Do you plan on using the standard Field Ticket field that is now in PR Timecard Entry in Vista?

    Thank you

From a Portal/Mobile app perspective, it is a ticket that exists in a UDTable. These tickets are created for a specific Job and date. The custom lookup on the Timecard Entry Form filters and presents the tickets based on the Job and PostDate used in the time card.

For this to work in the Portal, we enter timecard details, save the line and then the lookup knows the job and date it needs to look up the ticket number. We select the ticket number and proceed to completing the remainder of the time card entries and/or submit the timecard.

Again, we do this daily. Timecards a submitted on daily templates. Timecards are approved daily, usually the next morning, then as mentioned above, we move that time to Vista to post, run things like Auto OT and PR Ledger so that the customer can be billed daily.

    Hi Richard,

The complexity of offline and our mobile app makes supporting udfields or udlookups very difficult. What is the specific field you are using now for billing and can you give me some examples of your workflow?

    Thanks!
