We want to create a General Application for individuals to complete when a specific Job is not currently open and be able to create a User Defined dropdown (Vista Custom Field Combo Box) so our recruiters can designate the Position a general applicant may be qualified for and then search for the position on the Job Requisitions (Column option). We can Disqualify the Applicants (Not Hiring for Position, etc.) or Tag them for Future Hire, etc. so we can capture a pool of potential job candidates that can be searched for in the database.

Dear Viewpoint Suggestion Box contributor;
We at Viewpoint sincerely thank you for your contribution to Suggestion Box on how we can improve Viewpoint products. While we can’t do everything at once, we rely upon your feedback to help guide the prioritization of our product improvements, and Suggestion Box is a critical tool for us to understand and prioritize our customers’ needs.
Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.

Yes, that is an option we talked about but since we use Tags for other purposes to highlight specific qualities like “10 yrs Experience”, “Bilingual”, “Willing to Travel”, etc. we would have to list all our positions (Dozens of them) and most likely have to use a “z” in the beginning of the Position Names to be able to select/use the standard Tags easier (zProject Manager, zEquipment Operator, zLaborer, etc.).
Hi Paul,
Has your team considered using the Tagging feature to add the position the applicant may be qualified for? Tags are searchable.
Let me know what you think!
