Can someone advise on how this is "shipped"? I'm not seeing dollar amount as a required field in order to submit.
This has been changed to "shipped", but that is a bit ambiguous. I just skimmed the release notes for version 19.9 and I don't see this in there. When mark "shipped", can you include the version it is shipped in?
Confirmed. 0 should almost be never, but I suppose could be a clever way to import a "memo" entry with an attachment. So let's say a value: positive, negative, or 0. Just not null.

This was inappropriately marked as "already exists" since dollar amount is not a required field. It may be the most important required field. Please re-open.
Agreed on coding. What about dollar amount? Can we leave this open for dollar amount? I can't think of any circumstance when an expense should not include a dollar amount. Therefore, amount should be included as a required field.

See the screen shot. Expenses requires the required fields before submission. There is a portal setting "Disable required fields for expense type coding fields" that is an advanced setting that if checked will disable the required field requirement.

Are you sure it's required fir expenses? I think you are thinking of AP. Also, what about dollar amount?

Agree 100%, our users are forgetting to put the dollar amount (of all things) in. I know the counterresponse will be that we need to train our people better, but the system needs to be designed to be "dummy-proof". Also, JCCO, Job, Phase, CT should all be able to be changed to required fields. A lot of our users are forgetting these details and our approvers are also forgetting to complete these, so it's up to Accounting to guess. This should have been in the design a year ago.
Ability to make select fields required.
