Currently only Active employees can view and edit their emergency contact information. We have a number of employees who are laid off in the winter. This a time when annual safety trainings are conducted so it doesn’t interrupt work as much. Those on layoff attend these meetings, but are not fully activated with a Microsoft License at this time because it is only for 1 day. One very important safety item we go over during this training the importance of up-to date Emergency Contact information. Time is given for all employees to check their emergency contact information that we have on file by logging into Employee Tools and then to make changes as needed. Those on layoff do NOT have access to this info since they signed on through the KDS portal, which doesn’t require a Microsoft License. This is very important information that all employees, Active or Layoff, need to be able to keep up to date. If this part could be put back on to the essential module of “Update Info” where it used to be housed that would ideal.
