Set projected Time Off to take into account employee accrual limits.

Our employees accrue leave at a rate that is based on 2080 annual hours. If they work any OT throughout the year, they reach their accrual limit sooner than 12/31. The Time Off projection projects that the employee is going to continue to accrue hours at the same rate throughout the year, when the employee is not, because they have reached their individual limit.

This can result in confusion, when the employee schedules Time Off in December, because the projection says he will have the extra time available, when he really does not.

    Hi Darrell,

Can you send me a screenshot of an example in PR Employee Leave in Vista?

    Thanks!

OK, guess I was confused by the Frequency Codes... The Frequency Code I referred to was for the Reset Frequency.

We accrue time weekly, based on the hours worked that week. We could set it to only accrue on regular time, but that seems like a penalty for working OT (I would like to accrue my 80 hours earlier than by the end of the year, if I could). We typically have employees that get to their full annual accrual in September or October.

    Darrell,

Since your employee accrue at the beginning of the year, you won't see any changes in their available balances going up when projecting out into the future. This is typically noticeable when employees try to take time off for the next year, but our projections will not add those to their balances.

    Thanks!

    Mark,

Our frequency code is Y - Yearly, and Projections work for us - so now I am confused.

I think this could be accomplished by supporting an Annually or Yearly frequency code. Can that be done please?

    Hi Darrell,

How do your employees accrue their Time Off balances? For Projection, we only support the following frequency codes:

    • BW or B - Biweekly

    • M - Month

    • W or WK - Weekly

    • D - Days

    Thank you
