PM Teams use the PO Close program as part of their monthly cleanup prior to creating a Cost Projection. We have had multiple instances where the PO Close batch was created and the Update button selected before any restrictions were made in the program, pulling in all POs for that company. Luckily, the batches have been cleared before they were posted. We would like to see some functionality in the HR Financial Controls application that would allow for the PO Close program to be triggered at the time of invoice approval. We do not have the "Auto Close Purchase Orders on Final Invoice" setting turned on in Company Parameters because we want PM Teams to verify on an individual basis that no more costs will be posted before closing the PO. Functionality for the PO Close to be triggered would allow us to remove PO Close program access from the PM.

Our PM Teams do not utilize the PO Dashboard and we do not use PO Receiving.

Do your PM teams currently have access to the PO Dashboard? If you are using PO receiving, your PM teams will be able to close PO's that have their units or cost received.
