    Hi Jen,

    Sure!

In Admin > Portal Settings > Timecard > Time Clock, you may want to enable the following settings:

    • Enable Time Worked Validation - This will require that timecard lines created must have hours that match the start and stop times entered in the time worked grid.

    • Enable full time worked editing on Grid Timecard page outside of modal window - If you are using the Grid Timecard, you'll want to enabled this setting.

    • Restrict time inputs to certain hourly intervals in Time Worked feature - This will force the time entered into the Time Worked Grid to be in certain minute intervals.

On the Employee Tools > Timecard Settings and/or Grid Timecard Settings pages, you'll want to enabled the Time Worked checkbox for the PR Group that you are testing this with. Once enabled, there will be a new grid for tracking start and stop times on the Standard Timecard and the Grid Timecard. Here's an article for more info: http://www.keystyledata.com/kb/#KB/EmployeeSelfService/Timecards/ConfiguringTimeWorked.htm

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

    Hi Team,

I wanted to let you know that this is a known behavior for the inline start and stop times for our web timecards. Have you considered using the Time Worked grid instead of the inline start and stop times?

    Thanks!

The issue has to do with the break time. If you enter or change the "break" value after you filled in the "start" and "stop" fields, the total "hours" field doesn't recalculate. Therefore it doesn't reflect the accurate total hours worked. This is a big issue because this is what ultimately determines what employees get paid, so we need to trust that the calculation by the software is being done correctly. The total "hours" field needs to recalculate automatically after any field (including break) is entered or adjusted.
