Allow WO Approval same as Job Approval

It seems like there is a filter already for Job lines so would it be possible to add service lines to Job Approval?

Do you mean the Approval Permissions manager based approval? If it was possible to have jobs lines associated with a SM WO line, yes that's how that could work. Since this is currently a Vista limitation, I don't think would would want to allow Job to be added to SM Lines. Let me review this with the team in our next customer suggestions meeting.

    Thanks!

I think it can be defined through Job Approval in Approval permissions. As long as the approver has permissions to approve for that employee, they would be able to filter service lines, right?

    Hi Angela,

Yes, it looks like Jobs can only be selected on Job and Mechanic line types which prevent SM lines from showing up. For SM timecards lines, would your approvals follow Job Approval or would you need a different approval assignment?

    Thanks!

    Mark,

Service lines don’t have the option to add a job (in Portal or in Vista).

I do see in Job Approval an auto-filter to J-type lines. What I’d need is the option in that filter to choose S-type lines.

    Thanks,

We do have it set up for Job Approval but service lines don't allow you to enter a Job, just a Work Order.

    Hi Angela,

I believe it is possible to have your SM timecard lines route based on the job selected on that timecard line. Do you currently have your Job Approval configured in Grid Timecard Settings to show SM fields in Job Approval? Are your employees adding a Job to SM timecard lines?

    Thanks!
