Employees should not be able to enter vacation and sick leave if they don't have the time. We currently do not require our employees to pre-approve their leave, so I think that's why the leave is getting through the process. However, approving time in advance is not for everyone, so there needs to be another option.

It does already exist, but in a weird way. Not very user friendly. We do not use the feature in the portal that forces employees to enter approved vac/sick time on their timecard. Employees change their minds all the time with vacation and how much they submitted and been approved for when it comes actually completing their time card.
