We'd like the portal to support a passive Open Enrollment process whereby any OE window that expires, that Employee is assumed to have the same benefits next year as he has this year and the portal would properly handle the new effective dates etc when pushed to Viewpoint. It would also provide the benefit summary like any other OE window.
thinking is it's a waste of time for the EE to go to the portal, go through the entire process id absolutly nothing changes. for those people (the majority of our EE's) a passive window makes sense.
if an EE has ANY changes - address, dependents, etc.. then they need to go through the window process.
We currently manage this via custom SQL but it's a something of a chore to do.
This is our 3rd year of supporting completely passive OE and it would be nice to have the portal take care of it.
For those who would like more details of how we do this, we're happy to share.
