on the pre-canned Voluntary Self Identification Onboarding form, change the Verteran Category Definitions to 4 check boxes instead of just bullet points. Business with federal government contracts or subcontracts over $150,000 are required by law to break out the 4 types of veterans. We can't use the pre-canned form because of this. I am sure there are other businesses who meet this requirement and would benefit from the change.

I second Vaughn's comment. We are also having this issue using the onboarding I9 form. We did not catch it in time and now need to review accounts and ask each employee their status. It has hindered our work performance!

For me the issue is that the fields are in HR but the data is not captured from the onboarding I9 form. If you add new fields in HR Resource Master you should also capture that data in the onboarding forms. Otherwise you have to go back and ask the employee later and manually update the new fields.

So thank you for the new fields. But how do you plan on getting that information from the new hire?

    Hi Robyn and Jennifer,

Vista recently added new fields in HR for tracking the protected veteran types by adding "Armed Forces Services Medal" and "Active Duty Wartime or Campaign Badge"

Do the new Vista fields provide you with this break out that you need?

    Thank you

My HR is asking for this as well. We do a lot of government and state jobs.

This also matches up with the new veteran fields added in Vista with the 2021 R1 & 2021 R2 updates. The fields are in HR but the data is not captured in the Onboarding. So HR has to go back to each hiring site and have them track down the employee to get the details so that they can manually update the new fields in HR. Causes a big waste for us.
