Most of our users have goals that need to be weighted individually. Currently, all the goals within an Item group are given an equal weight
For example a user might have 3 goals. The first goal is critical to his growth and needs to be weighted at 50%. The second one is important but less critical and justifies a 35%. The last goal is fairly routine and should only count for 15% of the Goal score.
I would like to have a 'weighted goal element that can be tied to a Goal rating box, which would be used to apply the proper calculated score to the overall Goal score.
For example I have a template with 40% Competency weight and 60% Goal weight, and I have 3 goals within the Goal section ie Goal 1, Goal 2, Goal 3 and Goal 1 = 50%, Goal 2 = 35% and Goal 3 = 15%
I have a 1-5 rating scale with 1 the lowest and 5 the highest.
If Goal 1 scores a 2, Goal 2 scores a 3 and Goal 3 scores a 5 then the calculation would look something like...
( 2*.5 + 3*.35 + 5*.15) *.6 = 2.8
If all the goals were weighted equally the Goal score would be 3.33
To summarize, I would like a new element to chose from the New Item dropdown list for Weighted Goals. This would be linked to a Goal rating box. That rating score X the Weighted Goal percentage would be used to calculate the proper Goal section.
