We'd like to sort our employees into permission groups based on their position (foremen can do this, payroll can do this, etc.), but this can't be done because the different PR groups/departments/etc. are locked in place based on payroll. If there was a system not tied to payroll (HR) for this, it would remove a lot of headache and double entry with making sure the Employee Groups have the correct individually selected employees.

Awesome!
Alright, Mark. I figured it out.
Well, actually, how do I use the UserGroupID in the SQL select statement? The example just uses "2." Do you know what I should use?
Mark,
I didn't realize that. I'd like for them to be based on the HRRM.PositionCode. I should be able to figure this out with this help article I found:

Thank you for your help!
Hi Sam,
Would these Employee Groups be used on the Approval Permissions pages in the portal? You can use SQL select statements today to base the employees in the groups on any fields in Vista. What fields in HR would you like to base them on?
Thanks!
