Our company currently manually adds field employees to different employee groups for Time Off Approval. If this could filter from a "My Crews" group in Vista, this would be much easier to manage.
This would be great and could used to filter Job Time Approval as well.

We just released a Crew filter on Timecard Approval and Job Time Approval in version 1.20.8. Are you currently using our Manage Crews in the web portal today?

Are you referring to the Employee Groups used on the Approval Permissions page?
