Separate Layouts for Field Ticket and Grid Timecard

Currently you can only have one Timecard layout that is applied to both the Field Ticket and the Grid Timecard. Due to the different nature of the work and how we need to capture the data it would be beneficial to be able to have multiple layouts and that they can differ between Field Ticket and Grid Timecard.

    I agree that this is a "must have" feature. Tying the field ticket layout to the grid timecard layout is a deal breaker for us.

    This is very frustrating to see that this won't be implemented-this has been suggested in other comments too. I understand you are trying to add more and more features but sometimes you need to step back and look at the original functionality and the value of having the basics set up correctly. If this comment was implemented, it in itself would add a lot of added "features" that we are not able to utilize right now

    Hi Tina,

    I will review this with my development team, but the Field Ticket was designed with the earncode in column requirement so it will most likely be a significant change.

    Mark, I understand the reason for not implementing this but what about a change to the requirement of the Field Ticket to have either the earn code or shift in the column? At least then we could use the layout we have on the Grid Timecard. We currently are unable to use the Field ticket becuase of this. Any thoughts?

    Hi Christopher,

    When Michael and Kevin first designed the timecards in the web portal, they tied the timecard layouts directly to the PR Group. Changing this would be a huge effort that would consume the majority of our development efforts for a long time. Instead of focusing on this change, we are focused on bringing many more valuable features to the web portal and mobile app.

    I see this has been classified as unlikely to implement. Is there a reason? For most contractors that I have talked to about this issue, creating a separate payroll group is not an option. In our instance, it has to do with people that work in the field and work in one of our fab shops and they may move back and forth throughout the week depending on demand. We would constantly be changing their payroll groups.

    Another option would be the ablilty for the person entering the field ticket to add Job/Phase columns to the field ticket to the PR and Equipment sections where they could put hours on different jobs/phases. The person entering would be able to add as many columns as needed.
