Everyone will benefit when the initialized documents into Vista have default Attachment Types assigned. This can be setup in the Hiring Process Builder Per Custom Task or Document Templates.

Hi Robyn,
It sounds like we may have a bug. The Attachment Type should be selected and not be on the description only. Can you submit a support case for this? https://support.viewpoint.com/s/submit-a-case
Thank you!
Mark, we installed this update but the Attachment Type in Onboarding only goes to the Description Field. In order to have the security on the document (which is the whole point of having Attachment Types) is established in the Attachment Type Field. Did I setup the Attachment Type in Onboarding wrong? How do you get Vista to recognize the Attachment Type so it has the security of the document in Vista without doing it manually?
Mark, we updated this and loaded the attachment types and we are receiving this error when we initialized.

We are able to name documents when we set them up.
There is NO Document Attachment Type when we push to Vista. We do not see it in our environment. How do you set it up with our Templates? See below. It comes over blank in the Type field and we have to manually index . I attached the screen shot of the documents when they come over and then AFTER we manually index. We have to open every document to verify what it is and then index it.
Hey Amy & Robyn,
We are going to start working on this item to allow the selection of the attachment type on custom tasks. The Document Templates attachment type should already be used when they are pushed to Vista. Are you seeing this in your environments?
Thanks!
Mark, I don't know how HFF and Vista store documents so I can't really answer your question. I can explain that when we initialize into Vista it would help us to find and sort documents later in DM for audit purpose if we could assign an Attachment type to each form. This is for the purpose of searching in DM and finding specific documents "later". You can call me to discuss.
We need to see an attachment per custom task. Since we can not use fillable pdf's we have to set up every form that we have new hires complete as a custom task. so it can range from health insurance apps to state tax withholding forms, one single type wouldn't fix the problem
We would definitely need the Attachment Type specific per Custom Task. Each form is different and to ease the search for a specific document tomorrow, we need the Attachment Type to be specific to that Custom Task
We would need a separate attachment type per custom task because we search using attachment type for Audits and every custom task is a form that will be needed at some point. Today We are being asked to provide the signed statements that tell our employees and they acknowledge knowing that they are subject to Federal DOT drug testing. It would be crazy to not be able to select that specific form.
Thank you,
Robyn Roberts
Hey Robyn,
Would a portal setting for all custom tasks work for your team or would you need a specific Attachment Type per Custom Task?
Thanks for the suggestion!
