In the Grid Timecard Templates, we assign the total number of days to show in the grid. I don't understand why this doesn't align better with the Pay Period Control in Vista. A possible fix would be to keep the template set up the same, but allow an option to limit the dates that show in the grid per the Pay Period Control.
For example, we have a monthly timecard for some people and have the template set up for 31 days. Our pay period control is always for the first to last day of the month. Thus, some months' grid timecards include the 1-2 days of the following month because it fills in 31 days instead of limiting it per the pay period control date. It would be better if only 2/1 - 2/29 showed up instead of 2/1 - 3/2.
It may seem like a small thing, but people get confused and that leads to extra communication and work.
