Grid timecard should default to current pay week

Would be nice if Grid timecard could default to  pay period ending as the current pay week.  also if template could default to current day on the web portal.

    Mark,

We have biweekly pay periods and have a grid timecard template for the first and second week. I've had a few requests come in for it to autoselect the weekly template based on the current date.

If this setting is enabled, it should default to the current pay period. If you're not seeing this behavior in your portal and you're on a newer release of the portal (1.20.2 or 1.19.12), can you create a support case?

    Thanks!

    Chris,

We usually recommend that you keep the default to the latest week since some employees will enter time for the previous week on Monday of the current week which can cause mistakes with users entering that time to the wrong week.

If you'd like to change it, go to Admin > Portal Settings > Timecard > "Auto-Select Pay Period Based on Current Date" which is an advanced setting.

    Thanks!

    Mark,

we have weekly pay periods occasionally there are 2 periods open at a time and some are missing the fact that the software defaults to the earliest week.

    Hi Chris,

Do you have weekly or bi-weekly pay periods?
