Alternate ways to send an onboarding invitation if the candidate does not have an email address

Many of our applicants do not use email so they don't have an email address, this will drastically reduce the number of hires that we can onboard using the system

    It's no problem at all!

If you are using a Kiosk mode, you can have the New Hire start the Onboarding process without the need for an onboarding PIN if you'd like. If you allow this option, I would recommend that you also hide the Onboarding option from your main login page and then bookmark the URL on all of your Kiosk devices. For more information, you may want to review this setup with a HR Management consultant.

    Thank you!

    Good Morning Mark,
You are a genius!! So if I disable the email enroll, and we use a kiosk at our remote locations, how would we get the identifier pin number to use for each new employee?
Thanks so much for your help!
    Linda

    Hi Linda,

If you're going to have the new hires go through the kiosk mode workflow, there are two ways you can address this process. You can tell new hires going through the kiosk mode to use a HR group email address for any users that don't have their own email addresses or you can disable the email requirement (Portal Settings > Onboarding / ATS > Advanced > Remove Email From Onboard Enroll).

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Since most of them do not have a computer we are thinking of using a kiosk at each of our branches.  But setting up a gmail account does not seem like a good option for us.  If the candidate does not want an email address, I don't think we should insist they set one up.

Can we text the pin number to his/her phone and then have them log into a site to complete the onboarding section?

    Hi Linda,

We have several workflows that do not require an email address for an applicant to get started, but emails are the easiest way to send invitations. We have some customers that help their employees setup gmail accounts when they are at the job site.

What do you think would be a good option for your New Hires?

    Thanks for the suggestion!
