Currently all reviewers in a sequence receive an email notification when an expense is submitted even if it isn't in their queue yet. It would be nice if you are using the portal setting to hide pending items until lower sequences are approved to not notify the approvers until it is in their sequence or make the lower sequences visible but not approvable until it reaches their sequence. It is confusing for approvers that receive notifications and see nothing in their approvals list.
Note: We are using Invoice Reviewer Groups, not Timesheet Reviewer Groups
