Not all PR Groups use HR or Grid Timecards. It would be helpful to select a specific group for which to create a portal batch. It would eliminate the need to clear the superfluous batches during payroll processing.

Hi Elizabeth,
The portal will not create batches for pay periods that are opened after the begin date of the pay period and will not create batches for any pay periods that have 0 standard hours. These are the main ways that our customers prevent the extra batches from being created.
Do you also have the "Automatically re-create portal batches for each open pay period if batch is not open" portal setting enabled?
Yes. As stated in my suggestion, we don���t need portal batches created for all PR Groups yet the portal setting is ���all or nothing.��� We are forced to close the superfluous batches each week in order to process payroll.
