On the Field Management Mobile app, the ability to tie a mechanic line type to a job is not available. For prevailing wage jobs, when a mechanic is in the field, it is the job that determines the pay rate.
In Field Management Web on both the standard and grid time cards, it is possible to link the job to a mechanic line type - both for work order, or when charging direct to equipment repair.
The ability to enter the job is needed to make the Mobile app useful for our field mechanics. Without it, we can not roll it out.

Hi Patrick,
We are currently investigating adding a Job drop down to the Edit Line Details screen if a user is on a Mechanic type timecard.
Thanks!
Looking at the last pay period, where we are now fully functioning in the field, it looks like roughly 50%, maybe a little more, of the mechanic time is tied to a job. For the shop mechanics it is rarely needed, but for the mechanics in the field, it's 75% of the time or more. Thanks, Pat
Hi Patrick,
How often would your mechanics using the mobile app need to select a job on their timecard line?
Thanks!
