We currently have a crew working 3rd shift and when entering their time, we have to go to "Edit Line Details" and change the current shift for each employee. This gets very time-consuming and it's also very easy to miss someone. An option to choose the shift for the entire timecard after selecting the Time Entry Type so that it applies the selected shift to every person on the timecard would be very helpful and save a lot of time when you have crews not working 1st shift. We realize we could set the shift to default in the Employee file in Vista, however, our crews are changing constantly.

Mark, We are a union shop. One of our unions has rules where they could submit time for different shifts(i.e. 1 & 2) for the same job, phase code, day and even for the same earning code ( i.e. 1 - standard time). Their pay rates are different for each combination of shift and earning code. That flexibility is found in the Grid Timecard. We need the same flexibility in the mobile app.

We also need the ability to enter the shift. Yes, all members of the crew would be working the same shift.

Are you currently using the crew feature in the mobile app? I ask because there is a Shift available on PR Crews in Vista and while we don't currently use this shift value, we might be able to in the future. Please let me know!

Yes, we would enter a 2nd or 3rd shift crew all on the same timecard. We don't always have a crew working 2nd or 3rd shift, but when we do, it could be anywhere from 1 week to a few months before going back to 1st shift.
