The Time Off Section in the HR Management Portal does not currently support Rate Based Accruals, but is an important and highly used function in Viewpoint that should certainly be supported in the HR Management Portal as well. Its shocking that it even has to be suggested.
If the Annual Allotment cannot be calculated, it should be removed altogether, or changed to state the rate at which they accrue (ie. 1.54 hours), rather than stating an incorrect seemingly random amount. The Projected Hours Available should be removed since it cannot be predicted how many hours they will receive to continue accruing.
It seems that these features could be modified based on which type of Leave Code it is, rate based or fixed amount.

I would like to add some nuance to this. The current setup does calculate amounts based on the rates for hourly accrual, but there are issues with that coming from vista. In vista the accrual rates go out to 5 decimal places, however they are calculated for each timecard line, and the resulting amounts are rounded to 2 decimal places. This creates a situation where the potential cumulative rounding error is quite large. To correct for that and avoid under accrual rates must be set so that the total accrual will always hit the yearly limit. For example in order to have an accrual total of 112 hours per year using an hourly rate you need a rate of .055 to avoid under accrual with 8 hour timecard lines, but when you multiply .055 by 2080 to get a yearly amount for the annual allotment you get a result of 114.4 hours.
The simple solution to this issue is to apply the same yearly limits from the accrual code to the annual allotment limiting the amount to those same limits.
