Grid timecard show status of day in header

In the grid timecard there is no way to know if you have submitted a previous day.  ie.  fill in time thursday and forget to hit submit.  then continue to fill out time for the rest of the week.  there is no indication that the thursday time was never submitted.  could it be possible to change the colors of the overall hours to green or add text to say submitted.

    Chris,

Do you you think a (Submitted) tag added to the template drop down would be enough for your users to easily see which days they haven't submitted?

    Mark,

Our IT department notified me that this can only be done for the whole week and we were hoping in the future that something could be implemented to allow the user to see that a specific day has not been submitted.

We do have a way to remind employees about their timecards if they have any that are not submitted, but this is at a per pay period level and not daily. You can go to Portal Settings > Email Configuration > Timecard Settings > and then you'll want to check the "Enable Unsubmitted Timecard Reminder" and set the time that this well send out with the "Unsubmitted Timecard Reminder timing (hour relative to 12:00 AM on PR End Date)" setting.

Please let me know if you think this will help!

Neither we are  using manual entry.  I was looking for a way to just alert the user that a time card has still not been submitted.  Maybe an email on the day after that the previous day was never submitted or some visual clue on the main screen that the day has gone unsubmitted.

    Hi Chris,

That section is mostly used for comparing start and stop times to hours entered on a timecard per day. Are you using start and stop times or clock ins/outs?

My thought was maybe this turns from red to green when submitted.

Where do you think a visual clue would be most helpful for users that submit daily?

I believe we do.  They are greyed out and cannot be changed.  it is rare I go back to an individual day after I believe i submitted.  this week I happened to click thru all the days and found one that was not submitted but I would have no way to know looking at the main screen.  Was thinking a visual clue would be helpful to ensure you submit the previous days time.

    Hi Chris,

If you select a Grid Timecard template for a day that was already submitted, you should your timecard lines as read only and this would indicate that the timecard was already submitted. Are you seeing this in your environment?

    Thanks!
