Currently we have to leave temporary terminated employees active in PR so they do not drop from the scheduling boards in SM. Leaving them active in PR means they show up on the timecard dashboard. I know how to remove the employees access to Keystyle when off, but that doesn't stop the admins or managers entering time on the timecard for them. It would be nice if there was a way (for example, by using a leave code) to leave ee's active for future scheduling in SM but not allow labour to be entered for them for payment until reactivated in PR. (without having to lock their timecard every week)

Some admins do, yes. I do change the status code on the HR Resource Master for the employee to Leave of Absence (from Full Tim) and leave the Active PR Employee box checked for SM. Changing the Employment Status does not currently drive anything though.
Do your timecard admins normally enter time for employees? Are there any values on the employee records in Vista that you use to differentiate the temporarily terminated employees from your regular employees if you leave the Active checkbox checked for both?
We do. So yes, I could remove them from that group. I imagine the admin would still be able to enter labour for those employees directly on the work order? Which would still end up on the timecard if so.
Hi Angela,
You can remove them from being entered on the timecards a few different ways, but if they remain active in PR Employees, they will still be counted on your user counts. Are you currently using the Approval Permissions page to assign employees to your foreman/managers?
Thanks!
