Unless I'm missing it, I don't see a way to allow an employee (i.e. Payroll person) to unlock accounts without giving them admin access to other areas. Our payroll clerks have the most contact with employees, so we need to be able to allow them to unlock accounts, send welcome to Keystyle emails, etc.. The basics. Without this, these functions fall to those of us that are already extremely busy implementing Keystyle.
Either Security or System admin will provide way too much access for what we're wanting to do. The security role, as your link suggests, is more for an I.T. type person, not a payroll person. We're wanting the ability to give out minimal permissions. As the link says: "The Security Admin and System Admin have almost the same permission on this page, except for the System Admin column."
We purely want our payroll administrators to be able to send welcome emails, see what email is being used (company or personal) and unlock users. We do not want them to be able to make any system modifications like admins can.

Similar need to original post. Where can I get information on a stored procedure for clearing locked accounts?
So the big problem here is that Onboarding admin security is controlled through groups. If someone is security admin and only because you need that person to unlock accounts, that person could add themself to the onboarding admin group essentially giving themself access to sensitive information.
We considered the auto enroll welcome email, but we want our payroll clerks to verify the email and some other information is valid before proceeding. An auto unlock wouldn't really help because they'll continue to get locked out until they understand the procedures.
Basically, we want our payroll clerks to manage and communicate with our employees without being able to affect setup.
Hi Jon,
I'd like to keep the number of admin roles we have in the portal pretty minimal so I'd like to hear what the community feels about this suggestion.
Have you considered enabling the auto-welcome email and a stored procedure for clearing locked statuses for employees?
Thanks!
We don't want our payroll admins to be able to access Approval Permissions, Employee Groups or Manage Lookups. If we give them Security admin access, they can change Approval and Employee Groups for anything (expenses, training, performance reviews, etc.) and change lookups through Manage Lookups.
Even under User Access itself they could change credit card access through Expenses, purchase orders through PO, Equipment, etc.
Basically, we want our payroll clerks to be able to help our employees with accessing Keystyle alone. Logging in, welcome emails and unlocking users.
Thanks for the quick response Mark!
Hi Jon,
Security Admins won't have access to change any portal settings. What access are you most concerned about?
