We utilize the existing email fields for company email addresses only. We have a UD field for personal email, which allows us to email those employees who don't get company email addresses. Add the ability for the system to check, VA, HR, PR and then UD (in HR Resource Master).

We have the same issue. Our Vista email is personal email address. We use a UD field for work email. Any non-Vista users will be notified to their personal email, which is not ideal.
There definitely needs to be some sort of personal versus company email option when sending group messages. We use the standard email field in HR Resource Master as where paystub emails are sent. Some people with company email addresses want their paystub to go to their personal address. But if we send out a reminder about a meeting, people want it to go to their company email address if they have one. So a selector for 'Personal' that uses the regular HR EMail address or 'Work' that uses a user defined field added to HR.
Group Messages from HFF need to go to personal email addresses (as listed in PREH and HRRM). There needs to be a way for Vista to determine what is personal and what is work related.
Using me as an example, I have a Vista licence and all group messages sent from HFF go to my work email address.
Notification via the Group Message in HFF sent during our Christmas shutdown advising that a work colleague had passed away went to my work email address. This is not helpful when you don't access your work email when you are at home.
Similarly, the Victorian State Govt bought in a short notice COVID-19 "Circuit Breaker" 5 day lockdown on Friday afternoon. We had been able to work during previous lockdowns. A notification was sent out via the Group Message in HFF whilst I was still at work saying we could still continue working and to attend work on Monday.
Further information came to light and a second group message was sent via HFF saying that working whilst the "Circuit Breaker" lockdown was on was not permitted. Again, this went to my Vista licence email address at work, while I was at home.
On receiving further advice (nothing like a short notice lockdown to create confusion for everyone), we found that 2 of our projects would be permitted to continue working. We relied on making phone calls to ensure people now able to work were getting accurate and timely information. Text messages were sent to to all employees to provide an update on the new information and their options to complete their timecard.
We need to be able to communicate clearly and easily with our employees. As I see it
Group Messages are intended to be a notify all and should go to personal email addresses so that people can it access anytime, not just when at work. We shouldn't need to contact Vista licence users separately outside of work hours so we know they get the message.
Pay stubs need to go to personal email addresses.
Notifications for work related tasks such as invoices to approved along with all WF Notifier Job Manager type emails (tasks you would follow up whilst at work) go to the relevant Vista licence email address.
We need to have a solution for this ASAP as it comes across as disjointed and unprofessional to our active employees with work email addresses when company notifications go to personal emails . We stopped putting our company email address in the out of the box Email field in HRRM, because of OnBoarding module writing the new hire's personal email there when initializing to Vista. We have a UD field for the company email address and give all 3500 active employees a work email--we have it auto-populating from AD. We know that there's an email field in VA Users that can be configured with company email address, but not everyone at our company gets a VA user profile configured, since setting up 3200 field/craft labor and other non-Vista using employees with VA user profiles is unnecessary. We have both HR and PR modules so the Email field gets written in both places with personal email. Either Vista needs an out of the box Work Email field in HRRM that gets included in the notification hierarchy, or allow us to set up our UD fields as an option. We recognized the need and prominance in KDS for personal email use when an employee doesn't get a work email assigned, or when no longer employed but needs access to the portal for paystubs etc, just want to be able to not use personal if we have work email addresses, without having to set up VA user profiles for everyone in the company.
We have a similar issue. The HR management onboarding module writes to the Email field in HRRM, which we changed from work to personal due to the suggestion of Viewpoint support. That is also the field that KDS looks to for post employment password resets for portal login information.
When using Expense Reimbursement and PTO the emails are sent using the Email field (personal emails). We need to be able to select from a UD field to send those communications to a work email. We want all communications during employment to be sent via a work email.
