We have 100’s of corporate issued credit cards across the company, and some actually have the same last 4 digits, so the way you link the employee to the last 4 digits of the CC in User Access is problematic. When we bring in the csv file from the CC provider, we don’t get the correct linking to the employees who have duplicate last 4 CC numbers. I submitted this in ClearView to see if there can be more than 4 numbers or even link on HR Ref# instead, and this was the response I received from Toni Jabson for case # 1534176: the portal doesn't have handling in place for users who have the same last 4 digits. The only workaround is to, especially if they are company credit cards, request different card numbers.

This was advertised as fixed in 2023 R8 release of the portal. The cc import now accepts employee number which is a unique key. We are in process to get this added from our bank for cc transaction import. Fingers crossed!
Bumping into this again. See Bob's suggestion below - last 4 of card and first 2 of last name. That could work!
Can you use last four of credit card number and the first two characters of last name?
We are running into this issue and have only rolled out the expenses feature to 4 of our 11 companies. For us, even if we could have two step validation - company number and last 4 digits, that would help us to have to re-issue less cards.
This would be epic! We currently have to reissue cards that have conflicting last 4 numbers.
We issue AMEX cards and the last 4 digits are not unique - even for the small group of folks that have them. The last 5 seem to unique, so please at least allow 5 digits?
I would like to place a vote for setting up some form of secondary validation. Our firm has over 200 credit cards and a couple of them have the same last four, although the middle 8 are completely different. Expanding the number of characters and adding validation from a secondary field would be extremely helpful.

We just started implementing credit card expensing and ran into the same problem. Around 200 cards, 2 sets of matching last 4 numbers. Any update? This was posted 7+ months ago. Thanks.
So could an improvement to the portal be that you could choose to either link on Employee ID or link on last 4 on credit card # for when the csv file comes in via Credit Card Import? We have employee HRRef # in our csv file from the credit card company as well.
Hi Travis,
We will look into this to see what we can do. The SEC limits the number of characters that can be stored.
