They only enter time for themselves. Do they have to select this in the Field Management app? Or is that someone we can set as a standard for all employees in the portal? Thank you!

Do most of your app users have access to enter in time for other employees or only themselves? We have a preference in the app to auto-magically add the user that is logged in :)
Go to Preferences > and enabled "Auto Add Myself to Timecard"
If this is enabled, the logged in user should be selected on the employees screen automatically. If they only have access to enter in time for themselves, they will actually skip the employee selection step.

They are selecting job or overhead, choosing their job, choosing their phase,choosing themselves, entering their time, and then submitting. We did turn off the "signature" portion of the submitting process. I think all of the "continue" buttons and having to choose themselves just surprised us. We anticipated the app to be smart enough to move to the next screen. Thanks!
